CTET 2025 Exam Pattern & Syllabus Overview

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) twice a year to certify eligibility for teaching positions in central government schools like KVS, NVS, Army Schools, and other affiliated institutions.

CTET 2025 will include two papers:

  • Paper 1 for teachers of Classes I–V
  • Paper 2 for teachers of Classes VI–VIII

Candidates can appear in either one or both based on eligibility. The exam is conducted in online CBT mode, and each paper has 150 questions for 150 marks, with no negative marking.


✅ CTET 2025 Selection Process

There is no interview or further selection process.
Clearing the CTET online exam (Paper 1 or 2) qualifies the candidate for teacher eligibility certification.

  • Paper 1 – For Primary Stage (Class I–V)
  • Paper 2 – For Elementary Stage (Class VI–VIII)

Successful candidates are awarded a CTET Certificate, which is valid for a lifetime.
